LOCAL ENTREPRENEUR CARVES AN ALL-NATURAL NICHE IN BOULDER
Boulder, CO – May 22, 2006 – Local entrepreneur Kristina Banks in partnering with Linda and David
Zielski of Seaside Naturals LLC, a family run operation and soon to be west coast based operation,
will introduce “My Home Eco™” – a pilot store at the forefront of all things natural and environmentally
friendly– at this year’s Boulder Creek Fest. The store, which will carry all-natural cleaning and home
products, promises all-natural solutions for health and home and plans to open sometime this year
in Boulder.
“Boulder consumers are looking for ways to incorporate natural and environmentally conscious
products into their lives,” says Banks, who runs her own all-natural, non-toxic cleaning service. “My
Home Eco™ will be your one-stop shop for all things non-toxic and natural.” The store will cater to
everything from bodies – featuring soothing candles and essential oils – to babies, with non-toxic
products for newborns and toddlers to non-toxic and environmentally friendly house hold redecorating
and building materials.
Banks plans to introduce and partner with local service based companies offering green building,
energy efficient living systems as well as redecorating and natural healing in the hopes of creating a
community center for natural living. The store will feature a research area where customers can
research natural health, wellness, and home care solutions, and will carry information and a simple
way to buy sustainable home building products and services.
Since moving to Boulder six years ago, Banks, a mother of five, has established a thriving natural
products business, but was unable to find a comprehensive home for her earth-friendly interests.
She envisions My Home Eco™ as the perfect expression of Boulderites’ tastes for all things
environmentally friendly, noting the readiness of the community to try sustainable alternatives in
medicine, food and energy. “Boulder’s a great fit for My Home Eco™,” she says, citing the city’s fun
and functional approach to natural living.
“I have high hopes for the venture,” says Banks, who hopes to turn her entrepreneurial spirit into a
thriving consumer center this spring. “I chose to raise my kids in Boulder, and I couldn’t think of a
better place for my other baby – my business.”
