Connecticut family owned company set to
celebrate it’s “Think Globally, Act Locally -
support your local green manufacturer”
campaign surrounding Earth Day 2007.

Branford, CT (April 10, 2007) – Seaside Naturals™ will be present at several Connecticut
Earth Day events to help promote green living and sustainability.

“As global warming has become headline news lately, Seaside Naturals has long been
doing its part to help with the reduction of greenhouse gasses and to bring to an end to
the use of petroleum based and synthetic ingredients. We buy from local suppliers when
we can and use only plant or vegetable based ingredients. If consumers were to buy
products made locally, they not only support their local economy, they can also
drastically reduce the amount of greenhouse gasses and energy resources required to
get the products to their local store”, says David Zielski, graduate of Cheshire High
School, of the family owned company that has been in business now for four years. “We
are asking consumers to look at not only what is in their products but where their
products are made. It may be a green product but you have to factor in the expenditure
of petroleum resources and carbon emission required to have it shipped from
Washington State or Canada.”

To help celebrate Earth Day Seaside Naturals will be at Wild Oats in Westport, CT on
April 14th, the Beardsley Zoo on April 22nd and at the Envirolution Conference at Yale
University on April 28th,. “We want to showcase our products and show people that there
are local alternatives to the products they use everyday,” states the CEO and founder of
Seaside Naturals Linda Zielski, who graduated from Greenwich High School. “We spend
countless hours making sure our suppliers use only cold pressed methods for our
essential oils and use environmentally acceptable processes for creating all of our raw
materials. We even buy some of our packaging at surplus brokers to make sure these
containers get used instead of going to a landfill somewhere.”

Seaside Naturals has been manufacturing all of its products in its Connecticut based
facility since 2004 and selling primarily online. Their major push this summer will be to get
into stores in the New England area as customers keep inquiring from all over the country
when they can find these products at their local supermarkets.
